Bag your worried thoughts! Create a worry sack.

hardest to bear are those which never come.”

With mood disorders comes anxiety, and with anxiety comes worry. Have you ever thought about how much time you spend worrying? How do you worry about things that never materialize yet consume your waking moments, at times paralyzing your thoughts and bodies and wasting your time and energy?
There must be a better way to stop all this worrying.
There must be a better way to stop all this worrying.
Art activity: Create a “worry sack.” Take a paper sack and decorate it to your liking using paint and markers. When worry creeps up, write it down and illustrate it on a small strip of mixed media paper, and place the worry art in your sack for good keeping. Come back a few days later and see if that worry came about.
Remember: joy and cheerfulness in life are yours for the taking. Be sure to take hold of them!
Reflection Question: What worry can you place in your “worry sack” today?
