It’s Halloween! Time to celebrate all things ghostly and ghoulish. We will be repurposing
brown paper bags into Jack O’ Lantern self-portraits. Decorate your bag in the style of a
Jack O’ Lantern using paint, markers, scissors, and collage. Describe your good qualities
on one side, then flip the bag to the other side and decorate it with your ‘not so good’
qualities. Use descriptive emotional phrases to describe your mood, emotional state, and
personality. Remember not to be too hard on yourself. Have fun. When the bags are right
side up, they can become illuminated lanterns, and when upside down they can become
masks. Wear your mask on either side depending on how you are feeling and how you
